Grace Gardens Blessing and Dedication Ceremony Postponed

In the interest of public health and out of an abundance of caution, CHRISTUS Ochsner Health Southwestern Louisiana has decided to cancel the 2020 Green Hat Charity Fun Run/Walk/Crawl and Cookoff. We have also decided to postpone the 2020 Shamrocks and Champagne Gospel Brunch until Fall 2020 and to postpone the 2020 Grace Gardens Dedication and Blessing Ceremony. Event rescheduling information will be released at a later date.

Event organizers at the CHRISTUS Ochsner Health Southwestern Louisiana Foundation have been working closely with local, regional and state officials to carefully evaluate the evolving coronavirus (COVID-19) situation. Although there have been no confirmed cases of the virus here in Lake Charles, CHRISTUS Ochsner believes that precautions must be made to limit any potential transmission of the virus. We are deeply saddened to make these announcements; however, the safety and well-being of our community is truly our top priority.

The Grace Gardens Dedication and Blessing Ceremony is a sacred event beloved by those it touches each year. Details on scheduling will be released at a later date.

Memorial Brick

Remember your loved ones by purchasing a brick to be placed in the gardens. Proceeds from the bricks support programs that provide comfort, care and healing to others. For more information or to order a memorial brick at Grace Gardens, follow this link or call (337) 430-5353.

The Garden Wall dedication

Each year around St. Patrick’s Day, we dedicate the Garden Wall in honor of our community and CHRISTUS Ochsner St. Patrick Hospital’s anniversary. All etched bricks are completed at that time and presented to the community during the dedication ceremony. Everyone who purchases a brick receives an invitation to the ceremony.
